Mumbai Style Jalapeno Jam Sandwich
Ingredients (for 2 sandwiches):
- 4 slices white or sandwich bread
- 2 tbsp The Sensory Project Jalapeño Jam
- 2 tbsp green chutney (mint-coriander)
- 1 boiled potato (sliced thin)
- 1 small cucumber (sliced thin)
- 1 small tomato (sliced thin)
- 1 small beetroot (boiled and sliced thin, optional)
- 2 tbsp Salted butter (or any salted butter)
- ½ tsp chaat masala
- ½ tsp black pepper (optional)
- 2 slices processed cheese or ¼ cup grated cheese (optional)
Process:
- Spread butter on one side of each bread slice.
- Spread green chutney on two slices and Jalapeño Jam on the other two.
- Layer the potato, cucumber, tomato, and beetroot over the chutney.
- Sprinkle chaat masala and black pepper on top.
- Add cheese if using, and close the sandwich with the Jalapeño Jam slice on top.
- Toast on a pan or sandwich press until golden brown and crispy.
- Slice and serve hot with ketchup or extra chutney.
